Inspired by all the beautiful Spring flowers, I couldn't resist creating these little apple cosies for the children's packed lunch apples. A mixture of cotton yarns, vintage buttons and delicious crispy English cox apples, perfect!
Looking at them again, they reminded me of my sugar coated almond colour charts from Paint & Papers. The cottage is different shades of pale, but with the sun streaming in, I wish I had the courage to put one of these colours on the wall!
And then I remembered this pretty cotton poplin purchased in the sale last year. It's time to plan Summer sewing projects for my gorgeous girl. So many projects, so little time!
Just in case you wondered what the apple cosies were for, well, when I discovered the apple my husband had popped in Pipi's school bag wrapped in kitchen towel and cellophane, I realised he needed a quick lesson in recyclable packaging! Besides which, what apple doesn't deserve to be kept cosy! Oh, and this little one found a place to nestle on one of the granny squares that are being stored up as I go, ready for Pipi's blanket next winter - definitely a labour of love x
The kitchen table is getting busy, the computer is struggling to find a space amongst the various projects, which is why I thought it might be the right time to put things in to this blog. At least that way, I will be even more inspired to finish each and every project that pops in to my head!
