I am still mooning over the beautiful handmade lace that graced Kate's Royal wedding dress and would love to see it close-up, what clever bods they must be at Hampton Court. But, my head has been turned by another clever girl, she's called Mollie and the launch issue of her new magazine 'MollieMakes' is due in just under a week, so in her own words:
"MollieMakes is a lifestyle and craft magazine, which launches in the UK on May 12 and will be on sale in the US, Australia and all over Europe by June 9.
Our tagline is ‘Living & Loving Handmade’ and our philosophy is to reflect how we are ‘living’ craft today: our love of vintage, trawling thrift stores, customising our clothes and homes and then sharing it with friends over a cup of tea and cake.
MollieMakes curates the best contemporary craft from around the globe and we are delighted to hear from potential contributors. We will feature all those who inspire us, whether they are crafters, bloggers, Etsy-sellers or sewing cafés"
So, it is with great pride that I can reveal the launch issue cover featuring my very own little apple cosies - are they the latest in crochet craziness? My friend Juliet called them 'TRULY ricidulous', but I think they make perfect sense and I haven't had a bruised or battered apple in the bottom of my handbag for some while now. The children's lunchboxes look colourful and inviting too. Just imagine a birthday party with a little pile of them as party favours instead of the usual plastic bags stuffed full of nonsense. The pattern for the cosies will be published in this first issue, so why not try them for yourselves xoxoxoxo

Hi Penny, So pleased you managed to track a copy down and love that you told the cashier all about it! I'm still on the look out for another copy for my mother-in-law in Italy so let me know if you come across another. The cosies on the cocorose blog look fabulous - it makes me feel all maternal seeing these cosies popping up all over the place! Would love to do a Wednesday eve soon, so many projects, so little time..... See you soon, love Sara x
