... does that sound like too many projects on the go??? As the sun set behind the woods outside the cottage at 3.30pm yesterday afternoon, I settled down with my hook and yarn. I couldn't quite believe it, we still had dim daylight, but the sun had gone from view. And the consequence of these short days and long, long evenings - an abundance of crochet projects! But looking at my overflowing project basket, I am wondering, just how many are TOO many projects on the hook all at the same time?! Well, all on different hooks obviously, although not necessarily. That's the beauty of crochet, you can just slip your hook out and onto a different project, no need to keep stitches on a needle, I love it. But, I am feeling slightly overwhelmed looking at this....
I have half-finished apple cosies, half of half a pair of wristwarmers, a third of a lacy scarf and just three of a hopeful fifteen or so snowflakes! Not forgetting all the left over bits of yarn waiting to be made up into birds eye buttons. I do like to keep life simple, but sometimes my imagination and creativity get the better of me.
How about you? I know Rachel has been hooking up apple cosies and birds eye buttons (see the beautiful picture attached to her comment on the previous blog entry) and has now moved onto a 'snowflake' scarf. And Liz emailed to say she had finished her lacy scarf, and is now working on some wrist warmers and a piece of Tunisian crochet for a hook roll, not to mention lavender bags with crochet flowers. Sounds like you girls are much like me with your project piles! Are you up to your eyes in Christmas present projects or just calmly settled under one big winter blanket project - I suspect that's where I'm heading! Either way, happy hooking ;-) x
Sara,
I just adore the snowflakes sitting amongst your other beautiful creations, looks like I've got yet another project to add to my ever growing to do list, scarf, pin cushions etc. with your book and ideas I have plenty to keep me busy, thank you
Rachel :-) xx

Rachel, I am so pleased to hear I'm not the only one! I'm going to have a 'quiet' afternoon putting my snowflake stocking together before I tackle all of the other projects!!! Happy crocheting S xxx
