.... not sure if it's the cold, the full moon, the lack of internet connection or a combination of all of the above, but my crochet motivation had dipped below it's usual level. Good news is, it's back, my 'crojo' (coining a phrase my friend Jane introduced me to) is most definitely back!!!
I think the combination of some wise words (thank you Annie of Knitsofacto), a morning with the quite wonderful girls at the Wednesday Wool Workshop, an afternoon dressing a tree in woolly decorations, a new project working with the most sumptuous baby alpaca dk yarn and I am firing on all cylinders again.
So, without another word (if that's possible), I'll leave you with some photos taken in the glorious morning sunshine of the wrist warmers I've been hooking up for Sharland & Lewis in Wimborne (cosy in wool/cotton, cashmerino, silk/merino and merino lace, finished with frills, stripes and a birds-eye button or two!). I'm heading back to that gorgeous alpaca ;-)
Oh, I just can't help myself - just a couple more words. The woolly tree is on display at the Christmas Tree Festival, Kingston, Dorset alongside a whole host of other beautifully dressed trees. The alpaca is one of Jeanette Sloan's delicious yarns. And just in case you're close by, I'll be signing copies of my book, 'Simple Crochet' at Butterfly Bright in Sherborne on Saturday afternoon - would love to see you there! xxx
Very nice and beautiful!
