....it's a beautiful morning! In fact, it's the second beautiful morning in a row!!! I know I've been keeping a low profile over the past couple of weeks, but now that I've hit my pattern writing deadlines and the children's half-term is drawing to a close, I have time to wake-up, gaze out at the surrounding heath and woodland and start to plan ahead. Writing this blog really does give me so much joy, I love sharing my country ramblings and my crochet adventures - and I love it even more when you let me know what you are up to. Today though, just a few photos I took yesterday morning when the children zipped out on their scooters. As you can see, Autumn really is enveloping us!
Trust me, the crochet is hurtling along in the background. I've had a request to re-stock the shop with apple cosies for Christmas, so I've been rustling one up here and there. Last night I settled down to my current essential tv viewing - Inspector Montalbano (a rather charming Sicilian detective with a penchant for good food and ricotta filled cannoli!) - and hooked up some fine cotton snowflakes for a Christmas stocking I'm planning. Fingers crossed I'll be back soon to show you a few ideas and still give you enough time to get them ready in time for the festive season xxx
ps. Now you can see why I fell so completely in love with the Cascade 'Magnum' yarn from my last post - the yarn incorporated all of these beautiful autumnal shades under the heading 'Birch Heather' and the finished project is possibly the snuggliest, warmest one I've ever made! All will be revealed in January's 'Inside Crochet'!
